Her career began as an infant actor on TV, making her debut feature film as a character in Because of Winn-Dixie followed by the supporting role of Violet Beauregarde in Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In the film Disney she played Leslie Burke in the 2007 family drama Bridge to Terabithia as well as Sara in the 2009 science-fiction film Race to Witch Mountain.
